    My-ness => best-ness

    Isaac Z. Schlueter, responding to InfoQ’s How to Survive Asynchronous Programming in JavaScript:

    No.  My flow control is the best.  It can’t be improved by anyone else, because it’s best-ness is directly related to its my-ness, so any outside influence would make it less mine and thus less best. If you want to have this experience, I suggest writing a flow control library.  You’ll find that it is the best as soon as you write it.  If any other library seems like it might be better, then you can rush back to your editor, hiding your shame, and quickly reinvent all their ideas in a slightly different way that is yours, and then you will know in your heart that it is now the best.
