The people at Microsoft I talked to were upfront about their Linux strategy. I’ll sum it up in three words. Follow the money.

Y’know, “rm -rf” has always looked just slightly obscene to me. I don’t really know why.

Until this MS/Novell deal, I’d always thought Microsoft was more likely to get into the BSD business than the Linux business. It’s looking like Microsoft might be getting ready to move into the Linux field instead, now. Go figure.
