    Rounded Corners – 80

Skill level. “Using programming languages and markup languages (such as HTML) require some of the same skills, but using markup languages is generally…”. From a spam comment left on Labnotes.

Speaking of deceiving. Do a Google search for Acrobat: I just did that, since I’m trying to download Reader 8.0. The top two results are Acrobat downloads, but they’re paid ads and not affiliated with Adobe. I wonder if these downloads include something “extra”?

OpenID Enabled. Labnotes is now OpenID enabled, and it only took a few minutes thanks to Alan J Castonguay’s OpenID plugin for WordPress. (I did run into problems with an older version of the plugin, but the latest release works like a charm, so if you couldn’t use it before, I recommend trying again)

Ruby goodness by the boatload. Ruby Facets is a huge collection of little Ruby add-ons. It has single methods that will smooth your code, like starts_with?, map_with_index, sort_on, quote; classes you don’t want to write again, like Dictionary, LRUCache, Lazy; and some unexpected surprises like BBCode, JSON and XOXO. And that’s just tipping the ice berg, so check it out.

Just the facts. Infomaps are an interesting ways to summarize information without drowning in prose. Check out this demo (PDF).
