Steve Rubel’s list of ten blogging hacks:
1) Blog Alone or Together with Writely
Writely is one of my favorte Web 2.0 apps. It’s a full-fledged web-based word processor that you can access from anywhere. Think of it as Microsoft Word for the Web – except with just the parts you need!
And nine other tips, some of which I’m reading about for the first time. Definitely worth checking out.
And I’m going to add two of mine:
11) Decorate your blog post with an image.
Adding an image to your blog post doesn’t take too much effort, helps it stick out, and just makes for a better read. Ideally, an image of what you’re blogging about. But you can always be creative and pick some interesting photo. Flickr is a good source and offers tons of quality images under a creative commons license.
12) Track your blog traffic with Google Analytics.
All it takes is registering with Google Analytics and adding a script to the blog template. You get all the power of Urchin (the product behind the service), which is a pretty impressive Web statistics package.
